Affective Foresight

A NEW FIELD OF FORESIGHT DEVOTED TO THE SCIENCE BEHIND HUMAN EMOTION AND FUTURES THINKING

Inspired by recent discoveries in neuroscience and my work researching the field of Affective Computing, I realized that there is a benefit to deepening our understanding of the relationship between human emotion and futures thinking. I call this field Affective Foresight and first wrote about it for the APF blog (also reposted to this website). We need to understand how our emotional states can nurture better foresight and how foresight can nurture better emotional states.
